Well, it wasn't actually a Friday night, but it WAS under the Big Lights. And my little guy ROCKED it!!
On his very first series on defense he had 3 tackles in a row to give the other team a LOSS of yardage and forced them to punt! And all this from the noseguard position. After that series the other team put two guys on him and he still got hands on the quarterback and the running back twice! He also played center on offense and never once fumbled! Yay for my little man! His new name around here is The Beast :)

Now, I still think the sport is a bit barbaric and I cringe EVERY time someone lands on top of him... but, he LOVES this game.
Don't ask me why... it goes against every other facet of his personality. It's like he's a totally different kid out there. The only thing I can think is that he's an absolute rule-follower and in football he knows his job and he gets it done! No questions asked. It's kind of amazing to watch. Well, as amazing as 9 year-old Pee Wee football can be!
(this was a night game so hopefully next week's earlier game will yield brighter pics!)
Jake was a Captain so he got to head out for the coin toss
