Just spent 9 days at the lake with my sweet buddy Lisa and her fun boys. I took loads of pictures but some of my favorites were the ones I snapped with the retro camera app from my phone...
Bass Lake is so quintessential "lake life" that these pictures seem to capture that vibe.
Other quick updates: Jake had a blast in Texas - did NOT want me to show up to bring him home. And then when our flight was canceled and we had to stay another night he was dancing a jig! The boy was ecstatic!! So the trip was a success :)
Lauren's soccer team has practiced 3x week all summer long in preparation for two huge games they have coming up. They are in a playoff with two other teams for a spot in the Premier League for the fall season. It is, for now, the highest division they could play in, so they desperately want that spot!
She and her friend Stephanie did make it to the lake for the 4th of July though!
They did some jet skiing, Wii dance-offs, inflatable boating and fireworks watching! The fireworks are right over the water near our dock so it is a great way to celebrate the 4th!
Sophie tells me "No, thank you," every time I mention pre-school...
